Captain Marvel lands her fighter jet at Disney California Adventure for photo op and new themed food offerings Orange County Register

The female superhero arrives at the Anaheim theme park after the new "Captain Marvel" movie blew away the competition to take the top spot at the box office with a $153 million opening weekend domestic gross, according to Box Office Mojo.

The new Marvel Studios film stars Brie Larson in the title role as a superhero with superhuman strength. Set in the 1990s, the film follows the journey of former U.S. Air Force pilot Carol Danvers as she becomes Captain Marvel and finds herself in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Larson will reprise her Captain Marvel role in "Avengers: Endgame," set to debut on April 26.

Captain Marvel joins fellow Avengers characters Spider-Man, Black Panther and Captain America for a limited time at DCA.
